Pastor Josh Hannah came to Christ as a young man and was delivered from alcohol and drug addiction. He began his ministry shortly thereafter and became the senior pastor of Friendship Church on April 15, 2001. At that time, average Sunday morning attendance was around 60 people. After becoming a pastor, God placed a dream in his heart for a church that would not only reach the city but would reach to the ends of the earth. Friendship Church was renamed Friendship World Outreach and has since grown from a small country church in Waverly, TN to being a multisite church with four campuses, seven weekend services, and a weekend attendance exceeding 1,000.

Pastor Josh is also the founder and president of Hope Center Ministries, a drug and alcohol recovery program that  has three centers, two transitional living homes and 120 acres. Hope Center Ministries also has several businesses that are used to resource the ministry. As of 2009 there were three work crews, a thrift store, a detail shop, and a hardware store.

In addition to Friendship World Outreach and Hope Center Ministries, Pastor Josh is an internationally known speaker and church growth consultant in the United States. He has a passion to see new churches planted and to help existing ones with revitalization.
